Mount Carmel College was conceived in 2010 but only fully launched in Jan 2014.
It was the desire of Jedburgh Baptist Church to have a school and college and an independent Christian school was founded in 2013 by Senior Pastor Bob Strachan under the name Genesis Academy and is home to children that attend Jedburgh Baptist Church.
The Bible college was a satellite school off of Liberty Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary.
It is our mission to train and equip men for the ministry and raise up men of Elijah that will not back down nor surrender. We aim to teach them to teach others also in the spirit and power of Elijah. We are a Baptist College, not a 'Jewish' college but realise the power of God that was upon the great man Elijah and the testimony that he held.
We are an Independent Baptist College and Seminary offering fully accredited degrees of Associates, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate. We also offer study through correspondence.
It is our belief that men studying for the ministry be trained in both practical AND academia. Thus, we require all ministry/pastoral students to be actively involved in their local church in some capacity.
Students that physically attend the college are expected to attend and work in and with Jedburgh Baptist Church.
We offer degrees to non-ministry students also whether for further education or personal study and achievement.
All studies that are completed via correspondence should be returned to us and then will be graded. This can be done through email or dropbox. Hard copies for correspondence are available but at extra cost.
